Form Agency were contracted to formulate a new company name and brand identity for a new investment company launch in Asia.
The brief was to maintain a correlation to the previous company name. However, the brand had to represent a more modern interpretation. One which reflected the technological advancement of the company's progression.

Starting point is the naming process.
It was essential to keep the new company name both memorable and directly tied to the services they provide. We explored several avenues, presenting the results to the client before they chose the final brand name Winson Capital. This also had a connection to the existing company name which was a request from the client.

We established the name, and next set about designing the new brand identity.
The original company, Oscar Winson Company, had been around for a while before creating the new company. The old logo used a tree to symbolise the financial growth. With the new brand identity for Winson Capital we opted to modernise and simplify the icon. By creating a strong W icon to represent the W of Winson, we introduced a negative inverse leaf icon.
Next up was to define the brand colour palette. To make the brand as distinct as we could we chose a highly contrasting colour scheme. This provided a strong visual impact whilst keeping the brand linked to finance and organic growth.
As we expanded the brand boundary, we introduced a series of modern personalised imagery, telling the story of Winson Capital. Finally, we chose a clean font for the typography. With all the assets completed it formed a modern brand identity.

For the new brand launch, we worked with the Winson Capital digital team, creating a new website promoting their services and financial products.
We also created a series of brochures, social posts, an advertising campaign and stationery set.

Established in 1966, Oscar Winson, as it was originally known, started as an insurance firm catering to business on the island. As Hong Kong excelled during the 1970s, the company expanded into asset and wealth management.
