Creating a distinct Data Breach identity inside a global parent brand.

Experian asked Form to develop a brand style for its Data Breach division, recognisably part of Experian, but distinctive enough to communicate trust, protection and rapid response.

The brief

Create a sub-brand that feels trusted, urgent and clearly related to Experian.

The parent brand already had strong colours, imagery rules and graphic conventions. The Data Breach identity therefore needed to work within those rules rather than compete with them.

Trust, protection and effectiveness became the core communication ideas for the new visual style.

Visual identity

Turn the idea of data flow into a recognisable graphic language.

Form expanded the colour system into complementary combinations and used smooth transitions, curves and flowing forms to represent information moving securely through a system.

Imagery remained aligned with Experian’s parent guidelines, using light, colourful and human photography.

Campaign & motion

Put the identity to work rather than leave it in a guidelines document.

Static digital campaigns were supported by a ten-part video series combining graphics, music and audience-specific information.

The same brand was carried into onboarding decks, B2B brochures and wider internal collateral.

What changed

A distinctive division that still feels unmistakably part of Experian.

The Data Breach style gave the team a consistent way to communicate a sensitive service across digital campaigns, video, sales material and internal communications.
