Credit Benchmark – the evolution of the brand

  • Brand creation
  • Logo design
  • Fintech design
  • Print design
  • Website design and development

We have worked with Credit Benchmark since their conception back in 2012, when we created the original brand identity for the company.

Just like other companies, brands can tire and need to evolve. Whether through a change of business direction, or just in need of modernisation, brands requiring updating over time. Credit Benchmark fell into the latter category and wanted to revisit the brand and logo specifically to reflect the growth of the business.

Time for a refresh

Rebranding for a fintech specialist

First, we started with the logo, which would give us the foundation for the rest of the brand refresh.

With the original logo recognised in the industry, we wanted to ensure the new logo remained similar in appearance, but with subtle changes to modernise it.

Negative inverse is a design style we are very fond of at Form. It’s clever, makes you look twice and becomes something you remember. For the main icon of the logo, we introduced a negative C into the B. It was subtle, but worked well in defining the CB of Credit Benchmark.

We made other updates to the logo icon to make it bolder and introduced cuts to the "B" to give it its own unique style.

Typography

Logo creation

Akkurat is a strong Sans Serif Typeface which provides a modern yet corporate feel to the Credit Benchmark identity.

It will produce a synergy between the brand marque and collateral. When used in online application, we will be using sans serif alternative Roboto, which is a free Google font resource.

Brand's assets

Fintech brand development

We created a strong set of brand assets based around the idea of a benchmark pointer.

All asset designs work either individually or combined and allow for flexibility and scope whilst maintaining identifiable and unique characteristics.

The elements are a key element to building the brand. They have been designed to be adaptable so as to reflect how benchmarking works in essence. We use the elements to hold pictures, pull quotes and for page enhancements. The application of it can be seen below.

Brand application

New brand build and development

When all of the individual constituents of the brand are pulled together, we produce a flexible, strong and unique brand identity that would service Credit Benchmark well.

Adaptable in its format, the brand is non-restrictive yet instantly identifiable.

So, a new website design carried the updated brand style. We also rolled out a complete overhaul of all the existing marketing material including factsheets, brochures, exhibition stands and advertising campaigns.
