Ramson Packaging is one of the leading packaging distributors in Scandinavia with more than 25 years of experience in the industry.
The current CEO’s grandfather created the original packaging branding in the early years. It was important that the new brand identity evolved with a modern look, whilst giving a nod to the past incorporating the original marque created a quarter of a century ago.
Initial design ideas
Retail sector brand identity creation
We understood the new packaging branding was predominately for the cosmetics and beauty industry.
Branding in that sector tends to be very clean, minimal and using light colour palettes.
So with a clear direction on the brand we set about starting the designs. An initial starting point was working on the logo options. We opted to use a light font for the typography of the logo. For the icon we wanted to keep the connection to the old company and took the original design, but modernising it enough without losing the identity of the original.
Our client appreciated the nod back to the old company, whilst still managing to refresh the brand. After they approved the logo, we moved onto the next part of the branding process.

Upon review the client selected the brand identity they wished to progress with.
The next phase in the process was to identity the colour palette.
It was essential that the colours used in the brand were not heavy in their appearance. The brand we created had to reflect the beauty and cosmetics industry that the client provided a service too. With this directive we opted to keep the colours muted and more towards the pastel end of the colour range.
Lastly, we focused on the typography and imagery that we would use for the brand. The design of new mock-up proofs were submitted to the client, where the final brand was chosen to progress with. We provided brand guidelines, logo suite and a series of advertising campaign options for the client to utilise.

Collateral design and print services
The new Ramson brand was rolled out over with seamless integration between web and print collateral.
Form Agency produced the initial brand catalogues and exhibition stands to accompany the brand. Brand assets and guidelines were then provided to the Ramson internal marketing teams for continued asset creation.
To date the new brand is still being used by the client and has received recognition from new and existing clientele.
