Saxo Bank Advertising Campaign

Saxo Bank approached Form Agency to work with them due to our success and experience as a financial marketing specialist company.
At that time they were widely known as a highly reputable investment company based out of Denmark.
Saxo bank had partnered up with Barclays Stockbrokers to whitelabel their offering. This allowed them to start trading in the UK and building up a client base.
Our job was to launch Saxo into one of the most overcrowded and aggressive market sectors, the Forex market.
Introducing Saxo FX trading to UK investors
Advertising campaign for the financial sector
Saxo Bank was a brand name held in high esteem in the investment world.
However, as a fledging company looking to break into the UK Forex trading market, there was strong competition from other established companies. These included IG Index, City Index and CMC Markets to name but a few. Working alongside the Saxo marketing team, the agreement was to make a statement by launching with a nationwide campaign. This would include targeting the big UK cities with a digital, press and metro campaign.
The instructions from Saxo Capital Markets included specifically targeting the HNWI trader. Other trading companies would predominately target the everyday trader.
As a differentiator, this was good, but we also had a big challenge - the audience we were targeting was a much smaller pool of people. The campaign and the messaging would be very specific to their market.
It’s safe to say the competing Forex trading companies share very similar USPs. Whether it's quick execution, low margin trading, best liquidity, etc.
This meant we had to come up with a campaign that stood out in a very congested market. Our brief was to come up with a campaign that visually broke the norm of current Forex advertising campaigns. They typically used cityscapes, key finance districts or serious business people.
The launch campaign used a series of iconic trading imagery made from liquid mercury to emphasise the fluid trading campaign message. With Saxo’s new trading platform it allowed the user to have complete control over their trading needs. This works alongside a premium customer and support service.
We launched the campaign across various media formats for print, digital and video and ran for a 6 month duration. We also introduced the campaign style into various collateral such as brochures, promotional videos and educational trading material.
A significant increase in awareness and clients
Digital marketing for the financial sector
The campaign ran for a duration of 6 months.
It raised the profile and brand awareness of Saxo Capital Markets. Thus increasing their client base and retention rate of existing customers. Thereafter, Form Agency worked with Saxo Bank on retainer to work on future campaigns and other marketing services.
“I have worked with Form Agency for the over 15 year and they are a marketer's dream. Their knowledge of the industry I work in is deep and comprehensive which ensures that the design briefs which I give them can be simplified which saves an immense amount of time. Their creativity and thought process has never let me down and has always impressed me and in particular at the speed which they work. Also, it surprises me how they offer the VidOvation corporate digital signage solutions for those who have their own businesses. I have suggested to some of my closest contacts to work with Form and not once have I received poor feedback. They are an absolute must if you require innovative design work for your marketing campaigns.”
